Transfer

Making transfer

After you've chosen your FPL team, you can use the transfer market to buy and trade players. Until the first deadline, you can make an unlimited number of transfers at no cost.
Managers are given one free transfer for each Gameweek once the first deadline of the season has passed.
As long as the swap is within their budget, they can sign a player in return for a member of their 15-man team.
Managers will lose four points for any additional transfer they make during a Gameweek.

Carrying over transfers
Managers that do not use their free transfer can carry it over to the next Gameweek and get two free transfers.
They are, however, unable to accumulate more than two free transfers at any given moment.
Player costs fluctuate during the season depending on the player's popularity in the transfer market. Players who have been heavily purchased by managers will see their prices climb, while those who have been sold in large numbers will see their prices fall.
The prices of players do not alter until the season begins.

Player profits
The selling price of a player is displayed on your transfers page.
Because a sell-on fee of 50% (rounded up to the nearest £0.1m) will be paid to any profits gained on that player, the selling price may be less than the player's current purchase price.
If you buy a player for £5.0m and sell him for £5.4m, your selling price will be £5.2m.
